Running out of party games? Fear not, Misty's Big Adventure have come to the rescue with 'Fashion Parade'. All you have to do is count how many bands you think the Birmingham eight piece are attacking in their tongue in cheek attack of the current music scene. Fun for all!
Backed by what sounds like a missing synth track from the 80s, 'Fashion Parade' pours scorn on the unoriginality of today's music from the very start, with singer-cum-narrator Grandmaster Gareth divulging how we are stuck in a bland age. You see, Misty's Big Adventure has an idea, to get some post punk records and "listen to them, then rip them off and make a ton of money". It'd be hilarious if it weren't so true! 'Fashion Parade' isn't through yet though, even managing to throw in some exaggerated "ohs" that sound remarkably like a certain Kaiser Chief's song before the band decide to re-do Brit Pop again.
Misty's Big Adventure jokingly pokes fun at the music scene in an intriguingly weird and jovial way and although they may be smacking an easy target, you can't help but laugh at their oh so accurate depiction of the music industry.
