Back and on form.
Ska-punk has taken a beating recently, with many bands intentionally losing their brass sections; the thing that made them different, and trying for a more straightforward mainstream sound. Capdown are back after what seems like an age, and although it appears at first that they might have gone for a more mainstream sound (because there's not a sniff of a sax on this single), it's an unfounded worry because thankfully although there's no sax, they've managed to retain their individuality; they're still using the reggae beat and still as heavy as ever, if not heavier.
It's a shame they disappeared for so long. This is a no nonsense slice of heavy rock that deserves masses of attention, both 'Keeping Up Appearances' and 'Serious Is Not A Sin' have a really big, really heavy sound, and better yet, Capdown haven't lost the ability to make you want to get on your feet and rock like a b*****d.
