Hitting the Ground Running

Incubus kick-start their brand new album with the single 'Anna Molly', a joyful step forwards and on from their previous album 'A Crow Left of the Murder'. Taking all the best parts of the album, they seem to have moved on and matured somewhat. Brandon Boyd's unmistakeable voice, smooth as silk, still rules over their chilled out guitars. 'Anna Molly' is a ray of brightness amongst the grey winter weather, a reminder of what rock should be about- this is a song that will grow on you until you find yourself preparing to belt out the words as soon as you hear the chiming guitars emerge from your speakers.

Whilst those still longing for Incubus to return to their crazed past will still feel unsatisfied with the direction the band are continuing to take, most will enjoy this song, and the upcoming album, 'Light Grenades'. 'Anna Molly' is the proof that Incubus have finally found the niche they are comfortable playing in, the result being an alternative album that stands against the barrage of high pitched squeals from men in eyeliner. It's been a while since Incubus were on the music scene, but they've hit the ground running with 'Anna Molly'.
