Radio friendly indie-rock.
'Living On The Guestlist' has a really catchy radio friendly tune; you can't really knock it for a debut single. It's got a surprisingly mature and assured sound which is brimming with hooks and memorable riffs and the smooth and slightly husky vocals from Ben Burrows make the track a really easy listening experience. It's definitely the kind of track that gets people up and dancing at student nights everywhere.
It is pretty standard indie-rock fare though and underneath the catchy tune it doesn't really pack much of a punch, erring on the laid back side and going instead for a slightly over produced, rounded edges sound that will make this perfect for the mainstream market. It is a grower though, so when the single starts getting played on the radio (which it undoubtedly will) you can be sure it will stick in your head for days whether you want it to or not.
