Souds Like Violence

Sounds Like Violence first came to prominence on Deep Elm's Emo is Awesome, Emo is Evil Part II. 'You Give Me Heart Attacks' instantly became classic and gained airplay from both Xfm and Radio One and even had the semi-anthemic qualities which made it a must for any alternative DJ's roster. Fast forward three years and Sounds Like Violence are still coming up with the goods. Only just having released their first full-length album, 'With Blood on My Hands', the subject matter may stray on the dark side, but the future looks bright.

'Black Love' is how Sounds Like Violence's singer Andreas Soderlund refers to the content of his songs and with a back catalogue of songs in the 'Black Love' vein which all ooze heartfelt honesty, intensity and emotion and 'Glad I' Losing You' is no exception to this. Well crafted, intelligent and driving it's a track which demands you go out and find out more.

With the driving, jagged guitars it's unpolished yet unashamedly poppy. Soderlund's voice sound like it may break if it strains anymore at points all adding to the emotional catharsis on display within the lines 'I'm losing you/Bit by bit and it feels so good'. Searing and exciting, this is a band to watch out for.
