An actor/musician with talent - who would have thought?
Whoever says actors can't sing obviously hasn't listened to anything by 30 seconds to Mars. Jared Leto breaks from the day job to play rock star and has done an amazing job. He is the lead vocalist, and you can almost hear it in his voice as he tries hard to shed his celebrity skin and establish that he really can rock it out with the big boys. On this very upbeat track, his voice is very rock and he is able to reach all those high and low notes. This type of music defiantly suits his type of voice.
The second single, The Kill, is taken from the album, A Beautiful Lie, and has all the key ingredients of a great band in the making. The song has an amazing opening, as drums kick in, followed by great lyrics and an amazing chorus; the lyrics describe lead singer Jared Leto's feelings towards an ended relationship. Emotionally charged vocals elevating to tormented cries of "I am finished with you", accompanied by thumping guitars...wow! As musicians the band are more than competent at writing and recording great tracks, can certainly prove they can create a big sound and Leto defiantly has the rock star talent in the bag. Watch out world, here they come.
