Assault by funky beats and melodies

New Yorkers 'The Rapture' release third single, 'Pieces of the People We Love', from their critically acclaimed second album of the same name on April 23rd. It follows the band's biggest UK tour to date, having blooded in the new material with their loyal fan base.

The sound is typical of 'The Rapture'; a funk-driven electro feast complete with a catchy-as-hell drumbeat that will be bouncing around your head for days on end. At first listen it doesn't quite stick. However, after two to three listens the sound digs its nails in, refusing to let go. Soon your head is rocking from side to side with the beat, you're humming the bass line, and even playing air keyboard. Causing impromptu physical reactions, in my experience, is always the mark of a good single. This offering is no exception.
