Air Traffic - Shooting Star
Air Traffic hit the top 30 with 'Charlotte' now they're back and hoping for even more success with their new single 'Shooting Star'.
These British indie kids have won over fans with their live performances and with songs like 'Shooting Star' it's no wonder they're one of the most talked about British bands around at the moment. Melodic piano work opens the track with Chris Wall's smooth and sharp vocals perfectly laid over the top. Wall's vocals are aching, yet clear and powerful. This is definitely the most listenable release I've heard from the Air Traffic boys. There are points when 'Shooting Star' sounds like Coldplay, but the sing-a-long lyrics make it much more pleasant to listen to and a lot more upbeat than any Coldplay song I can think of.
Air Traffic are definitely a band to keep an eye on over the next few months, there's no doubt in my mind that these young lads are destined for big things.
