30 Seconds to Mars - From Yesterday
The immensely talented Jared Leto returns to the UK music scene with his band 30 Seconds to Mars to release the third single, From Yesterday, taken from their amazing second album, A Beautiful Lie. This track doesn't sound as dark as their previous single, the Kill, to begin with at least. It opens quite slow, but builds up to an explosive track. It has everything.
This track has everything you need in a rock tune; vocals that will sweep you away, music you can dance to, and lyrics to sing at the top of your lungs. From the moment Leto opens his mouth to sing 'He's a stranger to some...' there is nothing by an amazing sound from this actor turned musician. His vocals are outstanding, very strong and very in sync with the feeling of the song. Usually when a vocalist turns to screaming the lyrics, it is difficult to understand what they are singing about. Not in this case. Leto is able to scream just enough to put his feelings across, and still be understood perfectly.
