What's All The Fuss About?
Filled with glowing harmonies and sighing vocals, 'One More Chance' is a melt on the ear pop tune that simply swirls around your head in various candy pastel shades. Produced by Mark Ronson, Candie is presumably hoping to mirror the musical genius' success, and although this tune is smooth and gloriously rich, it sounds like a twee 60's songstress giving yet another clichéd tune about saving her relationship. Well this is the 21st century and these days ladies don't pine for men; they go out with a guitar and fight for them, leaving Candie looking rather jaded. Maybe in the light of the flurry of excitement sugary pop songstresses The Pipettes created Candie will find a market, but this wafting little melody simply doesn't offer anything that excites.
Granted, Candie has a lovely, creamy voice, but there's nothing stopping her taking it elsewhere - try the stage for starters. Hopefully the rest of the album will prove me wrong.
