Ash-End of the World.

So this is Ash's last attempt at the album market- jumping ship and trading album success for download glory. Personally, the unanswered questions regarding their original decision have unfortunately only increased- this latest release feels as though it should have remained merely an album track, not a good sign for a band mid-convincing us that this is the way forward.

Their fifth album "Twilight of the Innocents" has a few good highlights, but unfortunately this is not one of them. End of the World may be a self confessed crowd pleaser and it's possibly better than the two releases prior to- yet that's not really saying that much.

It's kinda a bit obvious- and just a bit naff. The lyrics aren't all that bad but you expect the threesome to continue churning them out, yet it's not as good as their old stuff. I don't fancy singing along to this one I'm afraid. Ash are touring throughout October and November- it's definitely worth a listen, well as long as they sing barefoot for us just one more time...
