Interpol Vs. Editors...who wins?...You Decide!

Interpol release a great, thumping, heavy impact tune. "Mammoth" is the second single to be hauled from the bands critically acclaimed third album "Our Love To Admire". It's a fantastic track but somehow I can't understand why Interpol didn't release this before "The Heinrich Maneuver". This track is much more breath taking and exhilarating, seems more like the kind of track you would release first from your new album.

"Spare Me The Suspense" utters Paul Banks. Proclaiming the beginning of one of the most exciting tracks the band has ever written. The typical thumping solid drums, the occasional swear word, bad fills of energy and aggression, some of the best vocals you'll ever hear from front-man Banks and, as always, an amazing balance between instrumentation and voice.

It presents the band in the midst of a battle with the Editors. "The Heinrich Maneuver" was poised against "Smokers Outside Hospital Doors" and the American rockers didn't come off as well. Now it's "Mammoth" poised against "An End Has A Start", round one to the Editors but I think it's a knock-out in round two from Interpol unless Editors can pull a better track out of thin-air. Great track.
