We could be unhappy.
Brit five piece SixNationState list themselves on myspace as indie/punk/reggae, but mostly they sound like an indie-pop band, in fact 'We Could Be Happy' actually sounds like The Coral, and the vocals are husky but very breathy, quite nasal and make you want to clear your throat. '1,2,3,4' is up next and although it has a sort of Reggae beat behind it, it sounds, again, like The Coral; OK it does seem that there's a pattern developing here.
However, all might be saved on the final track, 'Got It, Got It Wrong' which luckily is the only track that doesn't make SixNationState sound like a Coral covers band. It's a little better: fast paced, with a 60s surf vibe and a really chunky bass line. Unfortunately, the exaggerated half London/ half American accent on the vocals is a little strange and off putting though because it changes from one moment to the next never entirely sure of where it wants to be.
