Unfortunately as they had to cancel their remainder of their UK tour due to illness, 'The Perfect Crime #2' is all that Decemberists' fans currently have to savour from their favourite band. It's an infinitely catchy pop song with gorgeous soft vocal harmonies, disco beats and a sassy guitar line that combines the best of plenty of genres in one wicked hit. A mix of The Shins laidback beauty with snazzy riffs that rip through its core, 'The Perfect Crime #2' is on its way to being one of the most universally pleasing songs of the year.
It's no wonder that Junior Boys and Diplo, amongst others have chosen to do a remix of the single as its brilliant bassline and looping melody make it a perfect candidate for a dance floor mix up with electro beats and tinny synths making a swift appearance in the case of the Diplo Remix, and not very much except manic robots in the Junior Boys version.
