Brit rock without the angst.
These Brit melodic rockers have a surprisingly big sound. Their catchy melodies are just the right side of poppy and the guitars are fuzzy and heavy enough to stop them being too mainstream. Even though the tune on this third single from their debut album "Little Dreams" has a familiar quality, they don't wear their influences like badges, and for a change, they're a British rock band that don't sound like Muse.
'Screamer' and the flip side track 'Music to Love You To' are both easy on the ear without being too obvious; mixing up an almost American, slick, full sound (without the fake accents) with a raw British sensibility and some really decent tunes. This is a band that isn't messing around just going straight for huge sounding tracks; the B side especially impresses, with a sweeping, epic quality which builds to a heavy quirky chorus, occasionally verging on Soundgarden or Pearl Jam.
