Anthemic Rock
LA's Palladium manage to blend over-effusive 80's rock with falsetto frothy pop à la Mika. It may sound cheesy but it's really quite hard to find anyway to fault it; after all wasn't the essence of Queen catchy and lighthearted songs with ferocious guitarwork? The tune itself is pretty memorable with a funky chorus, in fact the band even think so much of the tune that an instrumental version is included on the CD, showcasing the shuddering rock riffs and rippling piano that's so eighties but yet such good fun.
It's not mind-blowing but Palladium have produced a instant rock rush complete with suave vocals and rousing melody, what more could you want?
