Paramore - 'CrushCrushCrush'
Paramore blasted into the music scene a while ago, and now comes their third single ‘CrushCrushCrush’ from their second album • have they really been around that long?
This female-fronted four piece have made a cracker of a tune with this release. First there are the vocals of Hayley Williams. It is music to my ears that a female artist can sing so beautifully, while not putting on an edge or trying to personify something she isn’t, which is the case for many female vocals out there today.
There is some upbeat, sharp and quite catchy guitar riffs implemented within this tune, specifically within the chorus. The accumulating sounds surrounding the chorus is great way to build up a listener’s anticipation and than knocking them or six with an incredible sound.
To listen to such a marvellous track by a female fronted “Alternative pop” band, one that can write, sing and play a decent track was a pleasure to my ears.
