Nothing Rhymes with orange- Hospital
Don’t you hate it when Westlife release a single that another artist (still performing) sung only a year before? See Buble “Home” for more information.
Nothing Rhymes with Orange have supported The Kills, The Ravonettes and the massive Red Hot Chilli Peppers, yet it would appear they have learnt very little from their touring adventures, releasing Hospital and The Spy, in typical blurry fashion.
Both songs are boring- The Spy perhaps better however not good enough to help hospital dig from the hole it has found the band in. The opening riff IS Ash Sometimes, with a hint of Coldplay Yellow in it. This of course isn’t a bad thing, but it’s an obvious cop out and difficult to classify Hospital as an individual single worth reviewing.
Alongside the copycat process, it appears that Nothing Rhymes with Orange have a case of Microsoft assistance- When a band has written their lyrics up on word and searched through thesaurus to increase the syllables. “Stitching crippled cocoons”? I’m not entirely sure I even know what that means?
The lyrics are crap, the music isn’t theirs and the bands name is lengthy. Had they been brilliant- Nothing Rhymes with Orange would have been a witty title, yet for the time being- this band are merely using the originality of their name as an excuse to conform elsewhere.
Hospital is out the 4th February next year- same day as Atonement on DVD. I will be making my way to HMV but most definitely for the latter
