Slow bleed.
The Finnish goth-pop-rockers new single is a strangely lacklustre affair. Starting with what sounds like a classic rock and roll riff, then bringing in the always present crooning from Ville Valo (although here he sounds like he might be a bit bored with the whole thing), a bit of light keyboard backing and some very familiar sounding guitar riffs, ‘Bleed Well’ plods along for two odd minutes in quite a forgettable and very poppy kind of way before breaking into a heavier guitar solo for a very short moment before it ends.
All in all it’s a predictable and not very inspiring track to release as a single and it makes you wonder; if this is the best that they have to offer from album “Venus Doom” then the rest of the album probably isn’t worth investing a lot of time in either.
