Ten years after Britpop and still turning the hits.

Supergrass are one of the most overlooked bands in recent British history. Often mistaken for nothing more than stalwarts of the long since defunct Britpop scene, people forget that they have released some of the best songs of their generation and only remember the sideburns of frontman, Gaz Coombes.

While not up there with their best, “Diamond Hoo Ha Man” is definitely one that people ought to be checking out. Using a simple but effective riff, heavy bass and crafty lyrics there is plenty to enjoy. The reservations of the single are only testament to the quality of the band itself (it lacks the range of Moving, the cheek of Sun Hits The Sky and just isn't Richard III) but this is small criticism indeed. “Diamond Hoo Ha Man” sounds like a proper song without any of the pretensions of its modern day contemporaries, and for this and this alone is well worth a pop.
