Proudly Being Pop

Like binging on too much chocolate and sugar at Christmas Lorraine offer music that is so sugary sweet you just know it’s not good for you but despite that queasy feeling you get afterwards you’ll still happily go back for more.

Unashamedly bursting with every pop cliché clogging up the charts, ‘Saved’ is like Savage Garden hitting the town with the Pet Shop Boys whilst emulating every boy band touting their wares. Throw in some synths, some atmosphere building nips and tucks before layering pain addled vocals and its like Terry Wogan has kicked off the Eurovision song contest early. Cheesy, pop proud and with a sound you’ve heard a hundred times before, ‘Saved’ fails to rock the boat but somehow you can’t help liking it simply because of its synth fuelled pop cheese and whilst the Norwegian trio may leave you with a sick sugary after tastes, you’ll still be going back for more.
