Bouncy, bouncy.
Levellers have been around for what seems like forever • this single is set to be released at the same time as they’ll be celebrating their 20th anniversary, which is pretty good going for any band, and they haven’t done so badly for themselves in all those years, having sold over 6 million records apparently.
This single is again a mix of their usual brand of punk and folk; string heavy and with a Gaelic edge • to say they haven’t changed much over the years would be an understatement, but it’s not a bad thing, they still manage to have a distinctive sound - it is like something you might hear being played in an Irish theme pub, but enough people seem to like them for that not to be a problem.
You probably have to be a big fan to get these tracks on anything more than a fun, bounce around whilst drunk level • they aren’t bad, the tunes are fine and they’re both danceable, however, they both sound pretty much the same and there’s really not that much you can say about them.
