Set to be a firm festival favourite
Presenting: one of the potential anthems of the summer.
Sure this track has been around for ages, but having been hammered in doors at indie clubs up and down the land, the next few months will surely see ‘Time to Pretend’ stamp it’s authority on fields across the UK. All parts of the anthem checklist are present and correct, an insanely catchy keyboard hook, pounding beat and a pulsating electronica bassline. It’s rock edge also means that, whether it’s being played in a DJ set or MGMT are there in person to perform live, this track has the words ‘crowd pleasing’ stamped all over it.
Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser are all over the European festival circuit this summer, including UK and Ireland stop off points at Glastonbury, T in the Park, Oxegen and Reading and Leeds.
The album ‘Oracular Spectacular’ is out now and should be checked out as there’s plenty of electro variety going on here. The band’s next single is something of a disco floor filler.
