Tokyo Police Club

To gather any thoughts over this particular track, I had to listen to it repeatedly for a half hour or so. After the eighth or ninth time there was just nothing that really stood out, butting me in the nose or getting any enthusiasm running through my veins. It is a good track and all, upbeat, drum and hand claps working well together, keys blending in with a little rhythm of their own, just nothing that we haven’t heard a million and one times before.

Canada indie rock outfit Tokyo Police Club, have previously played Glastonbury and Reading Festivals and hopefully they will continue to get the play they need in order to grow as a band. It is just that as the amount of new bands on the scene doubles each month, I find it difficult to get caught up in this tune, but you may feel differently about ‘Tessellate’.
