Semifinalists - Old Situation
From the minute ‘Old Situation’ began I thought I was in for trouble. The feeling of a bad hangover loomed over me; before you ask I had not been drinking prior listening to this track. To make a more open opinion about the tracks I listened to it a few more times.
Upon a second listen it became a little easier on the mind, the rhythms unconsciously made my feet tap in time while still giving me a nervous and creepy feeling. A third listen gave me a better understanding of the music, a forth and fifth listen developed my mind to the vocals, a sixth and seventh had me liking the instrumental areas, the eighth and ninth time I replayed the track I began piecing all the elements together, which brings me to the tenth and final time I heard to ‘Old Situation’. It was at this point the vocals and music melodies came together and I was hooked.
