Pretty poppy country
Pretty voice and poppy musicality with a vague country twang. A Fine Frenzy is like piano music with synth in there, too. It's no Feist, though. She won't change your life, or even your day, but if this song plays while you're in an elevator, you won't complain. Is that a good review? I don't know. I'm trying to say it doesn't suck but it isn't brilliant, either.
Less abruptly poppish than Lily Allen or someone like that, but less joyously independent than one of the Wainrights. It's just pop that is well done, and doesn't pretend otherwise. Maybe that's the best part of this single, it doesn't try too hard and you don't notice that it's three-and-a-half minutes long. It will be on the radio, undoubtedly, and will help you pass the time.
