The Pigeon Detectives - This Is An Emergency
The Pigeon Detectives (no idea about the name) were a band that was given high hopes by all sorts in the music industry over the last few years. A year after the release of their debut album ‘Wait For Me,’ comes the release of another single, the first to be released from their second album ‘Emergency’.
‘This Is An Emergency’ begins with the strumming of guitar strings, the pounding of drums and the “Don’t make me go…” lyrics. These three elements build up to an incredibly upbeat track, which repeats a method of build up towards each chorus. This makes the listener anxious over what to expected the first time, but none of the other times. The instrumental doesn’t really have an effect upon its build up and even though the chorus is exceptionally singable, the repetitive of the lyrics are not very creative.
