Mark Morriss - I'm Sick
What began as four lads just doing what they loved, creating music with a passion, soon turned The Bluetones into a highly success band. It was with this Mark Morriss found his inner ambition for music and starting his solo career.
Being the lead singer and songwriter for The Bluetones, it has been proved time and time again how talented Morriss is and his solo work is going to be the evidence that wasn’t actually needed. ‘I’m Sick’ is a melodious tune; the acoustic guitar is simply outstanding and is complemented by the brass sounds to high standards. The tune in itself has a warming effect, like strolling down the beach, guitar under arm on a hot sunny day, or walking through a meadow.
The way the lyrics flow is amazing, most noticeably in the chorus where the lines “I’m sick and I want to get well again/I’m a bug, I'm a bird I'm an aeroplane/I'm a drift of my own worst enemy/I'm sick and I want to get well” just roll off the tongue perfectly…heart-warming.
