Black Affair - It's Real
For a band that who are listed on Myspace as Gothic Black Affair’s single ‘It’s Real’ sounds very different to what I was expecting.
‘It’ Real’ could happily play in any club across the country, and no-one would think it was performed by a German goth. The most memorable thing about this track is its simple and repetitive beat. Sometimes the simplicity is the thing that makes a song, in Black Affair’s case it is the thing that breaks the song.
Overall, the song is a little disappointing, it’s too simple to be effective, it just becomes tedious and by the time it’s over you’re glad it’s over. It’s a shame that the song turned out that way because Mr Mason potentially could have made this into something great and he has failed miserably.
