Quick on the draw.

Roots Manuva has always had a peculiarly English vibe to his music and ‘Buff Nuff’ is no different. His lyrical flow and stylings have always differentiated him from his US counterparts and although the music is as edgy and vibrant as any of his rivals, it merely serves as a backdrop for his individual styling. Lets face it, there is more humour displayed on the lyrical front of this track than the vast majority of its genre and its this unique element that Roots Manuva brings to the table.

The chorus has been created to drive you mad and if it gets into your head then you are in trouble. It is short, repetitive and easy to join in with and you will join in with it. Played out over an electro backing that could have appeared at any point in the last few years, the tension has been upped slightly and suits the quick fire lyrical approach thatdominates this track. The instrumental version brings some of the more underlying elements out but there isn’t much hidden away on this track, its pretty out there.

So, a welcome return from the act and with an album to follow by the end of August, you can expect to be hearing a lot more of this over the next few months. Get your ears pricked up and ready to have some fun.
