Fierce Electro Rock
Innerpartysystem blend a looming darkness with racing vocals and an insistent pulse to create a raging electronic anthem that's likely to appeal to fans of frantic rock fans and those who dig energetic electro alike. The beats are grimy and metallic and come hard and heavy while the effects-laden vocals spit out a fierce, aggressive chorus. Four and a half minutes is a little long for any dance tune, even such a raging one, but repetition is the key to this tune which hammers its relatively straightforward, but highly effective melody into your head like an angrier IAMX. 'Don't Stop' is the kind of tune that even if it misses out on chart action, will be stuck on MTV2's playlist for years, especially with a provocative video that needed special censoring for the UK market. There are hints of industrial noise that crashes through your skull and the whole thing seems to be exploding with energy, but from this one tune alone it's hard to tell if Innerpartysystem have enough style to appeal to serious music fans.
