The Go! Team - Milk Crisis
The Go Team is a six-piece band with a difference. They are not your average one singer, one drummer, two guitarists, a bassist and a keyboardist. The band consists of six individuals who are multi-tasking as two drummers, a bassist, a rapper/vocalist, keyboardist, three guitarists, as well as playing harmonica and banjo…well what a mass of tunes that will create I hear you scream.
With the instantaneous fast paced vocals, which I for one can’t understand a word of and a surplus mix of dangerously electric guitars being played over a dance track, ‘Milk Crisis’ isn’t what I expected. The beat is good as it shows they know how to make a catchy rhythm but all together, everything fails to click like a key in a door. At times the various sounds are so muffled I actually had to pause the CD to make sure I didn’t have two tracks running at once.
With the mix of chants, early hip hop and a slight '70s funk ring, ‘Milk Crisis’ is one of those carnival tracks with people dancing, but the sound being distorted due to other music being played in other areas.
