Raising the bar for romantic summer pop-folk

If you’re not already whistling the melody to this, you’ve probably been living in a cave on Mars for the past few months. Not so sure this comes under the ‘folk’ banner just because they use a whistle, but it’s a heartfelt and romantic conversation that follows the ‘Keep It Simple, Stupid’ rule to the letter. Pure pop at its best. It’s a shame record companies release these songs to the radio so far in advance of the CD/mp3 release date, because it’s likely you’re already fed up with hearing this. Listen a bit longer, and you’ll find a delightful little ditty that is going to age well. I can’t bring myself to dislike it, however much I hear it. But don’t quote me on that, because Noah & The Whale are going to be around for a while yet, ridiculous name or not.
