Electro-rock mash up.
“Die Tonight, Live Forever” is a heavy duty, pretty intense fusion of rock and electro which has distortion oozing from every fuzzy note of its three and a half minute length. There is certainly a retro tip here, the eighties sounding vocal effects are almost Kraftwerk , however, the pounding beats and dark, hefty rock base kicks this single firmly into the here and now just as acts like Pendulum have done recently or the Prodigy and NIN have been doing for a long time. If those names are up your street this is sure to appeal; the tune is in your face but catchy, the beat is danceable and the wall of noise effect allows you to lose yourself in the music. There are quite a lot of bands doing this kind of genre mash up at the moment, but Innerpartysystem does it better than most.
