Bishops - City Lights

‘City Lights’ is the first we have heard of London based Bishops since the release of their 2007 debut album.

Inspired by the feeling of approaching a new city, ‘City Lights’ consists of tight rhythms, pop with a bluesy edge and sharp guitar pipes in the work. The second track ‘Feel Free To Do What You Want’ has a little more bounce in its step. Some underpinning riffs produce quite a catch and the vocals, as in the first track, may not be much to write a banner about but suit the simplicity of the track well.

Even though this track is a little placid for my liking, it's pretty obvious there is something about it that seems to work. I can imagine a lot of people out there really enjoying this teaser taste of the upcoming LP release, which is currently being recorded and due for release early next year.
