The King Blues - My Boulder
London band, The King Blues, release another single off their new album, "Save The World, Get The Girl", continuing to showcase their intriguing fusion of folk, punk and reggae styles that is captivating so many.
This band has grown in the capital, selling out venues, a promoters dream. "My Boulder" is an anthemesque song about being there for friends and loved ones. With edgy vocals in the style of Joe Strummer, sing-a-long lyrics and the pleasing on the ear music it all adds up to a great rocking tune.
Having supported Rancid and with several other good gigs lined up, including Glasgow and Manchester, as well as New Years Eve at the Brixton Academy before the year is up and with Zane Lowe recommending them to Noel Gallagher live on air, (I am sure he would have recommended this song too)The King Blues look likely to break through in 2009 and we are all the better for it.
