Oh no, with this band the minute their music kicks in its clear that they are all about getting people on their feet, filling up the dance floors with beats that are infectiously irresistible amidst vocals that bristle with a Scottish twang that only adds to the band’s appeal.
Jangling jubilantly with foot tapping allure, ‘Team Boombox’ unleashes an electro avalanche of indie disco beats brilliantly fighting for attention against sing out loud vocals that build from a mass of messy shouts to a sharp, spiky duel clash that bubbles with a disco punk ethos that energetically propels you to the nearest dance floor. Ramming the nations entire electro quota into four minutes, ‘Do The Miami Vice’ jerks and stamps with captivating energy, pausing here and there to let you catch your breath before whipping through a chorus that leaves the mind spinning and the feet aching with utter contentment before the fantastically titled, ‘Take That Jesus’ jabs with synth driven recklessness, unleashing hook after contagious hook with no regard for the consequences.
