Allen flying high
Are you the type of person that likes the hard rock anthems, the gentle twanging of guitars or pop punk melodies? I can listen to many styles of music and I find acoustic settings provide some of the most ambitious, touching and emotional songs known to man, and woman.
With some songs I find myself waiting for the end. Even those that are remarkably catchy can occasionally drag on in their three-minute duration. There may be nothing catchy about ‘Going Home’, but it is peaceful, and I was able to sink into it, hypnotised by the tender melodies and vocal perfection created by Jon Allen. He is a man of many talents, a multi-instrumentalist that puts a lot of heart and soul into his music. With Allen’s soulful voice, he penetrates each track with his lyrical beauty and is able to sustain attention with his melodic writing ability.
