Brilliant!
‘Shanty Mansion’ is an attention-grabbing tune. What begins as an acoustic song, with just raw vocals and the occasional pings of guitar soon transforms into a wondrous number. There is a slice of funk that makes it incredibly difficult not to fall into. The repetition of the lines “I’ve got no money” is one that sticks like glue. I’ve been humming this one since I first heard it. The entire three minutes are to be three of the best minutes you will experience.
This is set to be a special song for the band. Not only is it an upcoming Christmas release for the fans, but also the band are making a difference outside the UK with the profits made from its release. Along with The Animal Farm (an independent record production, artist management and music publishing company), the band is setting up a fund to help raise money for a South American child they are sponsoring. I wish them all the success with this tune.
