They definitely have luck

Following on from the bands debut single ‘Underneath The City Lights’ in the summer of last year, the second single from The Lucky Face is a double A-side.

There is a uniqueness emitted from the two new tracks. The first, ‘Leech’ sees the bands using more rhyming couplets than I have previously heard in a song. It is as if the band is reciting a cleverly written poem while backed up with musical arrangements. This feature makes the track incredibly sing-a-long friendly while the music makes it bouncy. The second song ‘1982’ sounds incredibly simple, a very small repeated metallic rhythm with some backing drums, something similar to what you would hear on a merry go round. This one also makes the rhyming very evident.

The Lucky Face have created two easy listening songs that are not too powerful, yet cleverly written to attract the mind and enjoyable to listen to.
