Indie atmospherics.
The new single from Computer Club is a swirling and at times, almost epic, indie anthem full of guitar riffs that echo and moody vocals, but with a great, catchy melody. This single taken from their 2008 debut album “Before The Walls Came Down” has suffered a two month release delay while they found a distributer but the timing might be fortuitous with their brooding Doves/Editors style indie swirls now coinciding with new Doves material which may make fans go searching for more atmospherics to satisfy their cravings.
While the open sound of the production and the bell like ringing of the guitars sometimes bring on a melancholy feel, ‘Turn The Lights Out’ manages to bring some warmth back in with a section of vocal “wohs” that’s great to sing along to.
