Pitchshifter Strike Wolves
Pitchshifter are no strangers to getting done over by the record industry, but to their credit they have stuck to what they do best and never tried to be "radio friendly unit shifters". Tonight is probably the last time I will be able to see them live before they seperate into their new bands, so with this in mind I make my way to the front. There isn’t a sad atmosphere - the crowd are up for it from the start, and it feels like more of a celebration of what Pitchshifter have achieved over the years. The setlist is choca-block full of bonafide classics firing out at you like shotgun rounds.

Drummer Jason is on fire conjuring up some amazing drum and bass beats to perfection - pounding the drum kit to a pulp. In fact, at one point he actually breaks through the snare drum skin. JS Clayden interacts with the crowd, feeds off their energy and jumps around like his life depends on it. The highlights are "Virus", "Genius" and "Microwaved", then JS Clayden tells every one there will be no encore, as PSI don’t do encores then he stands on his head and it all ends with "Please Sir". PSI will truly be missed but they have given me some great memories over the years.
