Nothing is going to stop this band cause chaos.
The Southampton Guildhall is looking pretty empty when Class of Zero take to Motorhead’s stage. However, within minutes of their meaty riffage hitting the back wall, head are already nodding and even the charming young first aid attendant agrees that ‘they’re alright!’
Sledgehammer force crossbred with enough anger to fuel several professional wrestlers gives Class Of Zero a wild, turbulent air. These boys appear to be possessed by some kind of demon when they’re faced with large amps, a crowd of people and thirty minutes. They take the blank looks they see as a challenge and boldly defy those who sneer by making sure that no one in the room is standing still by the end of their set.
Their set, drawing upon all the highlights of their newly released debut album, is one that combines the sing-along beauty of lighter rock with the dark, morbid deliverance of lyrics of the genre where their heart truly lies. Class Of Zero are your better-than-average modern metal band and their raging spiralling set suggests that it might be wise to keep one eye open for them in the near future- Ryan Rainy (vocals) hints whilst signing posters on the merchandise stand that there could well be a headlining tour next year. If their hellish set tonight is anything to go by, Class Of Zero will be expanding their UK fanbase at the same speed as they spread like wildfire throughout California.
