Killswitch: Bigger and better than ever!

The Astoria is jam-packed and in for a treat tonight. As soon as Killswitch Engage set off on the rocky path of deafeningly good music, the crowd seems to expand in size and any breathing space you might have had to begin with evaporates with the sweat already rising from hundreds of sweaty bodies rocking out.

Killswitch Engage are true masters of the stage and ultimately their audience. Their music is pleasantly heavy without needless speed- they know where to draw the line when it comes to aggression and so always manage to keep their audience happy no matter what they were expecting from this insanely successful band. Like all the best heavy bands, Killswitch Engage appears to be a totally different band onstage. All their rage is concentrated into their set and every single drop of anger is saved up to be expelled from the stage in a flurry of instruments and wild head movements.

Fists pump, voices rise to the roof of the Astoria in unison and it is all very reminiscent of one of those satanic rituals you watch late at night on TV. There's something dark and very mysterious about tonight, but also something so warm and inviting- the total opposite to what I expected. The fans appear to work as one unit to keep the Astoria heated by way of emotion and sweat with the Killswitch boys right at the front of the pack. This is one band who will never fail to impress when it comes to dynamic stage antics and one who will certainly never find their set lists becoming dull.

Killswitch Engage are violent, macabre but above all, are passionate to the very end. This band who will go down fighting.
