The 'New World Disorder' tour is not a normal event. The bands may be signed, but they are relatively unknown. This is twinned with the fact that the bill is rotating - a different headline act every night. We joined the tour on the first night to take a look at Ludes, an English band that can best be described as ska.
Playing to a partially full venue, Ludes manage t get a few people excited and drag a few people away from their pints. The set begins with a good, punchy start and they go on to play their new single 'She Was Just a Girl'.
Two songs down, and the rest of the set seems to go downhill. The problem is that all the songs sound the same. If it were not for the fact that the band announced each song, I would have had no idea where many songs began and ended.
Ludes have talent, there is no disagreeing that - the problem is the lack of songs. Maybe with another couple of years under their belt they will be worth another watch.
