Supporting a band that are capable of selling out over 20 nights of arena dates is going to be a difficult task. Only one band has been chosen to support most of the Stereophonics' 2003 Tour - and that is Tim Burgess.

The set begins on a strong note as people start to funnel in to their seats. Playing to a mostly empty arena it soon becomes apparent that to most people Tim Burgess is simply not who they have come to see.
The set only lasts a short time, but some of the songs that are played seem some what mis-matched for tonights music. There are a variety of more "country" songs than the Welsh-rock fest that 14,000 people are expecting in Manchester. Not the right band for tonight, not the right band for an arena.
