Darkness look-alikes only in looks
After a long-winded soundcheck, The Answer introduce themselves with an extremely powerful guitar solo, followed by the lead vocalists soaring melody. Kicking in with catchy, fresh sounding music, The Answer soon attract a small gathering to the foot of the Napster stage, firing into an adrenaline filled guitar solo that sends musical shock waves over the crowd and out of the tent like an invitation to attend the party.
Indeed the band seem to be enjoying themselves, especially the lead vocalist who strangely resembles Justin Hawkins both in looks and in vocal style. The difference between The Darkness and The Answer is however, that The Answer has a much cleaner, mature sound and the fact that the lead for The Answer has had no problems with keeping in tune either. Also, The Answer have a kind of fun style but not one that's over the top, not too cheesy. It's more or less just your average, pleasant pop-rock but a kind that's bearable. The Answer offer up a style of rock and roll that is easy to get into and very enjoyable whether or not mainstream rock is your preferred genre in music scene.
Among one of the most drilled out of bands here today, The Answer offer the perfect solution for those looking for light, easy going music in-between the heavier options of the Main and Snickers stage. An enjoyable band and a well played set.
