Disturbed?
At the end of Finger Eleven's set, I turned to my colleague and commented on the fact that I could not decide whether or not I actually liked this band or disliked them - I simply had no opinion. This is not a good thing to take away from a set and something that has only happened to me on a couple of occassions before.
There are some parts of the band that can be paralleled to Disturbed, notably the lead singer who has the same boring stage presence and similar vocal traits. The rest of the band seem to be a bit of a mish-mash between pop-rock and metal.
Throughout the whole set the attention of the crowd seems to wander for long periods of time - a look around the venue and you can see that people are more concerned about how safe the Civic Hall's car park actually looked for their car. There are several aspects of their set which can best be described as noise, and although some of the audience may have enjoyed this, the majority of the crowd are becoming restless.
There are, however, the odd moments where the band suddenly become cohesive and the sound produced improves ten-fold. Sadly - this doesn't even last for a whole song.
