Staind
Staind have released one of the most acclaimed albums of the year. Although being known for their single "Outside" which launched them to fame in the Summer of 2001, they are a band with a lot more under their belt. A large crowd is gathered, wondering what to expect.
This is a very unfortunate set for Staind from where we were standing. Their sound appears to have been totally muffled by the Smirnoff Dance Stage and the mixing is just not right. The set just simply fails to deliver in every sense of the word. Although this is not entirely their fault and is largely due to their time slot. You get the feeling that at dusk this band could draw a much greater atmosphere.
Another time, another place - it may have worked. Late in the afternoon on the main stage of this years Reading Festival did not work.
