A Triumphant Return to Donington

UK metallers Sikth were one of the first bands to ever play at Download in 2003 and now three years later they've returned to Donington. As thousands of fans stream inside the Snickers stage to see Sikth, the band walk out to huge cheers as they immediately launch in to their energetic and emotionally charged set.

With most of Donington Park still suffering from the effects of heat stroke, sun burn and sleep deprivation it is refreshing to see the raw power and energy that Sikth provide in their live show and, whilst it, thankfully, doesn't turn the crowd in to one giant pit – it does wake everyone up from three nights of excess and within minutes the crowd are chanting during every song and ending it with deafening cheers from the front of the crowd all the way to the back of the Snickers Stage.

On a day that Metallica are closing the main stage it seems that Sikth are the perfect band to see. In fact at Donington today they are fantastic irrespective of who is to come – just a shame that it is such a short set.
